No World Pyro Olympics for 2008
Update 2: Looks like the schedule for the WPO in Manila, Philippines ahve been changed again. February 16 – China (CN) vs Germany (DE)
February 23 – Japan (JP) vs Australia (AU), March 1 – Korea (KR) vd Dubai (AE), March 8 – Italy (IT) vs Venezuela (VE), March 15 – Frace (FR) vs Philippines (PH).
People have been asking — when is the next World Pyro Olympics (WPO)? Will it be this December 2007 or maybe January of 2008.
Unfortunately, there will be none this year or next year. La Mancha Productions, the organizing body behind the WPO did not announce anything or any reason why this year’s event will not push thru. There were updates going around though that it was because of the lack of funds and sponsors. Will post an update once this has been finally cleared.
Update 1: There might still be hope. In an interview over at PhilStar.com, it was noted that “The 2008 World Pyro Olympics will be held at the Manila Bay on Feb. 16 (China and Germany), 23 (Japan and Australia), Mar. 1 (Korea and Dubai), 8 (Italy and Venezuela), and 15 (France and the Philippines).”.

Dear Filipinas, be careful when answering the messages of Michael J. Bulger passport 088974546, he is a compulsive liar on the web searching rich ladies to pay his bills. He went to Panama and Kasahkstan leaving ladies behind without telling them he was married to an ugly, elderly lady in Blacklick, Ohio, a sexless, open marriage.
The poor lady was left without any money, no airfare, no visa, unpaid bills, the landlord had the aprt. foreclosured and lost her real estate licence. MJB is bankrupt since sept.2005 them he moved to kasakhstan, then his house was foreclosured, he married six times, he can not stay with women, he promises marriage and then run away in a foreign country, he is a pathological liar. maybe already trying to get a filipino visa using a naive girl in the islands.
Stay away from him (mikee5293) born June 20, 1945, overweight and bald, he uses an old picture, a fake profile…or you will be sorry later.

yeah it was moved, according to the person from La macha, the First day of the competion will be held on March 29, 2008.

This event would be from may 3 – 31 2008. All saturdays! japan is out and the show by the philippines will be the only pyromusical show!
shows starts at 730 – 800 pm!

Update: Up to May 24th na lang. Australia and South Korea backed-out for unknown reasons.
First shoot – 7:30pm
Second shoot – 9:00pm

Thank you for sharing this. I had such a wonderful time myself traveling and performing in philippine and this bought back so many memories.
