Rock the Riles 2005: Rock gigs at MRT Stations
The United Nations Development Programme and RockEd Philippines will stage Rock the Riles, a series of rock performances meant to promote human rights awareness on Saturday, December 10, 2005.

Performances will be held from 4 to 6 pm along 8 Metro Rail Transit stations from North Edsa to Taft Avenue. Performances in each of these 8 stations will be themed with the 8 Millennium Development Goals of the UNDP:

Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger
Achieve Universal Primary Education
Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women
Reduce Child Mortality
Ensure Maternal Health
Combat HIV/AIDS/Malaria and other diseases
Ensure Environmental Sustainability
Develop a Global Partnership for Development
A follow-up concert party featuring The Dawn, Urban Dub, Up Dharma Down and Juan Pablo Dream among other performers will be held at 8pm at The Podium in Ortigas Center, Pasig. Visit www.rockedphilippines.org for more details.
