Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (TAT)

Visiting French director Alain Timar uses a non-traditional, upbeat approach to this philosophical masterpiece about the senselessness (or purposefulness) of human existence. Set in a community along the riles, this absurdist drama gets Filipinized, complete with street slang, pinoy humor and a tricycle on stage, as the two tramps wait for the arrival of God(ot). A co-production with the Embassy of France, NCCA and CCP.

Carlo Vergara’s ZsaZsa Zaturnnah (Ze MuZikal)

Tanghalang Huseng Batute (THB)

Ada, a small town beautician swallows a pink meteor that falls from the heavens. She transforms into Zsazsa Zaturnnah, a superheroine endowed with “jologs” wit and remarkable beauty. Zaturnnah fearlessly defends a small town from fashion forward planet women, a giant frog and rampaging zombies. Tanghalang Pilipino brings back Zsazsa Zaturnnah (Ze Muzikal) for a limited run as its entry to the International Theater Festival. Based on the graphic novel by Carlo Vergara and adapted for the stage by Chris Martinez, the camp musical is brought to life via the infectious music and lyrics of Vincent De Jesus and the clever musical staging of director Chris Millado. Laugh and fall in love as a parlorista superhero(ine) saves the world!

FOR TICKETS AND INQUIRIES: Please call the TP office at 832-3661, 832-1125 locals 1620/1621.
