Bacolod Chicken Inasal
Share
Bacolod Chicken Inasal is one of the few authentic inasal house in Metro Manila. While I always order the chicken pecho (breast), others prefer the darker meat of the paa (leg). Then, there’s the baticolon (gizzard) as well.

One does not eat chicken inasal without the sinamak — a combination fo spicy vinegar with onions, garlic, ginger and chili.

Most people add soy sauce and a squeeze of calamansi (Philippine lemon) while I prefer it hot and raw. You might also want to ask for the chicken oil which you can mix with your rice.

Otherwise, you can try the sisig rice with fried eggs.

In Bacolod, the place to go is “Manukan Country” at the reclamation area where you will have your choice of stalls that will serve you inasal. I used to eat at “Nena’s I”, but any shop with fresly cooked rice will do just fine. I usually mix the orange colored oil with my rice and have sinamak with my chicken. If you are lucky, you might get to eat some fresly steams oysters to boot. Yum!

I tend to patronize Bacolod Chicken House in Anson’s building, Pasay Rd., Makati. I believe its the original in metro manila. I wasn’t impressed with Bacolod Chicken Inasal in Robinson’s Pioneer and a few other inasal places. They lacked taste (or had a weird taste.)

i think mas masarap sa Inasal RepubliQUE. the place is nearly a year old.. ang sarap ng chicken inasal nila then yung rice with atchuete sauce! the best din yung sisig nila..ok yung place kasi they both have indoor and outdoor dining area. great for inuman sessions yung outdoor! P100/pax busog ka na! Located at don bosco st.,cor.pasong tamo, makati city. I also got their # 893-7620 pero they are closed on sundays. open sila on mon-sat 10am-12midnight.. ok rin kasi may sariling parking.. lapit lang sa ciitmotors yung place.

I have been a chef all my life and with all honesty, preparing chicken the way the people in Bacolod Chicken Inasal does, id would have to say it’s world-class… truly impressive. I could be in a cruise to the carribean islands or in the kitchen of one of the most famous restaurant in Paris, but still nothing beats the sumptuous chicken recipe of Bacolod Chicken Inasal… It’s something that would long linger in your mouth after having one. That kind of feeling where you seem you can’t get enough… Even describing the whole feeling of having to taste one makes me hungry
Don’t just trust me with this one.. you really have to taste it, in a heart-beat i know you’d get hooked as well. They have branches at malls like Glorietta and Robinsons Place Manila, even near Bel Air at Jupiter Street Makati.. just to name a few. It’s almost the Christmas Season, you have every reason to enjoy all the finest things in life… You can start that by bringing your family to the nearest Bacolod Chicken Inasal.. after that, I’m pretty sure you’d come back.. hungry for more… Enjoy

Most probably the “chicken inasal” recipe of Bacolod Chicken Inasal doesn’t just come with the literal ingredients and secret spices… It prolly takes passion and dedication to perfect that masterpiece. Something that would only be thought of by someone who wants to bring the “authenticity of the original inasal na manok” to every dinner table of every Pinoy (more specifically those that are not near Bacolod or Iloilo). It was probably a long-time dream, that is now slowly becoming a reality. Imagine the comfort of having to enjoy an “inasal na manok” right there on your own dinner table… or being served by polite waiters or waitresses at your favorite mall (glorietta for example). Life is simple and short, that’s why we should enjoy every second of it to the fullest,so from the bottom of my heart i would like to thank Bacolod Chicken Inasal for making life easier and sweeter.. Thanx for bringing us closer to the pride of “Bacolod/Iloilo”….the chicken inasal

Even the “Bacolod Chicken Inasal” Restaurant doesn’t have the best recipe, the food is so delicious. I like it talaga and I want to go back again and their other dishes.

miah » Feb 01, 2008 at 1:52 pm
i agree! Bacolod Chicken Inasal comes really close. ive been to bacolod and tasted the street stuff. it’s that tangy vinegar stuff they put that makes all the difference. i think its called sinamak or something..

Bacolod Chicken Inasal’s sinamak is the best dip for their inasal. Namit talaga.
Arthur Piccio » Apr 02, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Just don’t try Mang Inasal. You’ll regret it. As a Bacolodnon, I find the crap produced by that chain to be utterly abhorrent. You’d be much better off going to Manokan Country.
Nap Hernais » May 01, 2008 at 1:08 am
I haven’t tried that sinamak but I like bacolod chicken inasal’s Ysabella’s chicken.

I’m originally from Bacolod, currently eating my lunch here in Melbourne… rice with grilled chicken that my sister cooked at home (which we tried, as much as possible, to taste like the chicken inasals in Bacolod)…and I’m terribly missing good ol’ sinamak!!! Sinamak isn’t just a BCI dip, it can be found in almost every household in Bacolod. You can also use it as dip for inihaw na isda, and other meats…no, wait… we used to also dip sliced green mangos and singkamas in it, back in my school days.
