Cavana at SM Megamall

If you are in SM Megamall and looking for something new to eat, try out Cavana located at the first level of Building A. It is near Powerbooks, Yoshinoya, Kaya Express and Red Ribbon. Cavana opened last week with a very refreshing athmosphere (yellow and green dominates the color motiff of the place). Before I had the chance to sample their menu, I thought Cavana was Filipino owned. But I later found out that it is owned and operated by a Singaporean group of food entrepreneurs. One of the owners even had a little chit chat with me and my companions. We found out from her, that Cavana is a well know restaurant in Singapore and they have branches also in Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai and of course in Singapore. Cavana in Megamall is their first venture into Philippine soil. Right now, they are scouting for other locations where they could put up other Cavana restaurants.

Ok, enough of those trivialities and let’s get on with their food menus. Their specialty of course are chicken dishes. They have a foray of chicken dishes which would surely appeal to Pinoy palate (interestingly, the restaurant has been jampacked every meal time since it opened last week). Of course, Pinoy are chicken lovers and we eat chicken in all its form and preparations.  And Cavana’s chicken is either broiled, fried or steamed (Hainanese). I sampled their fried chicken (cavana classic) and it was good. The meal also comes with a coleslaw sidings (very good!) and the Hainanese rice.

For the budget conscious, Cavana also offers budget meal which costs less than a hundred bucks. It includes chicken strips which is either fried, steamed or grilled, fried egg, and vegetable sidings.

I’m sure I will try out their other dishes the next time I eat there. This one is highly recommended. A not so expensive and yet better alternative to other fastfood joints which offer the same menu. And did I mention that a glass of ice tea in Cavana cost P15? Definitely easy on the budget.

CAVANA at SM Megamall has it’s own way of attracting customers.
It has these unique plates that varies in sizes and shapes
I love their dishes coz i love chicken
Try their spaghetti with spicy sauce and chicken on top
I will recommend chicken hot plate and lemon grass juice
It’s a good combination for me
because of the spicy taste of crispy chicken strips
with corn and carrots and monggo sprouts(toge)as side dishes
CAVANA offers an authentic twist taste for chicken
that will suit for different people
For those who are not that into chicken,
try it’s beef teriyaki or beef hotplate
You will surely appreciate the taste of CAVANA’s dishes
