Chateau Verde : Fine Dining Inside U.P. Campus

Who would have thought that in the vicinity of the country’s premiere State University lies a restaurant which offers fine dining with soothing ambiance? I could not believe my friend until she brought me to Chateau Verde. Located at Aguinaldo St. just a stone throw away from the University Shopping Center, Chateau Verde is an old house converted into a garden type restaurant with a “miniature” fountain for that added therapeutic effect.

But this is not only the reason why I would highly recommend Chateau Verde. Of course, a restaurant would not be a restaurant without its menu. Chateau Verde serves various pasta dishes, rice dishes, steaks, salads, sandwiches, dessert and of course it wouldn’t be a fine dining experience without the wine. Should you decide to visit the place and experience the food, try ordering Shrimp and Mango Salad for appetizer, Chicken Ann (chicken fillet prepared ala cordon bleu) for main course , and end your dinner with a guilty pleasure trip over a Deep Fried ice cream in strawberry and chocolate flavor. But I’m warning you, that dessert is pretty addicting, enough to make you come back.
