Cheap Chinese Food Fix in Angeles City

Share

In Angeles city, Philippines, Kapampangan food is one of the best delicacies that a Pinoy with a craving for native food could ever salivate for. But there are times that one would like to enjoy some Chinese dishes. In view of this I recommend Sumpan, a small Chinese fast food that’s just a few blocks from Casino Filipino Angeles, Balibago.

If you’re one healthy fella, how about ordering their mixed seafood with dry noodles, hakao (prawn dumplings), and beef or pork siomai. Better be careful with ordering too many dishes though as they do have big servings, especially their noodle soups. I love their chicken feet dish and as a century-egg obsessed foodie, I prefer theirs over Chowking’s because unlike Chowking, aside from its being cheaper at Sumpan I was never served with spoiled century eggs. With just about 150 pesos, you can have an emperor’s fill of various Chinese dishes.

It’s not a place for those who are not into less sophisticated restos. But if you’re not about to splurge and are craving for Chinese food in the middle of the night, (yep, it’s open even in the wee hours of the morning), go grab some chop sticks at Sumpan.

[...] Chinese restaurants always mesmerize me. When I go to malls or just about anywhere during meal time (you’ll think that this is ALWAYS what I do), you’d often catch me sampling one of the Chinese restaurants. And just recently I got to visit Flavours of China at SM Clark. [...]
