Flavours of China at SM Clark
Chinese restaurants always mesmerize me. When I go to malls or just about anywhere during meal time (you’ll think that this is ALWAYS what I do), you’d often catch me sampling one of the Chinese restaurants. And just recently I got to visit Flavours of China at SM Clark.

Its interiors give a nice, generic Oriental feel.

I’m not that much of a fan of its spicy squid head. I didn’t like the cloying breading. I still recommend Mar’s Restaurant’s (Balibago, Angeles City) version of spicy squid head – cruncy and naked.

The mixed vegetable is A-OK. You should try it.
If I were to rate Flavours of China, I’d give it a 6/10. I’m fine with the food and price (2 dishes, a serving of soup and 3 cups of rice at less than Php400) but the waiters are a bit too newbie it shows.

Nice Blog though.. But better be popin’ in pictures of the actual SM Clark Mall itself. Peace out…
Yeah, pix of the SM Clark naman..It’s hard to fathom na may SM na just a few steps away from my old house sa 1st Street.Ahhh, Progress…
Flavors of China is really not the place to go to for fine Chinese Food. Flavors join the category where Superbowl, Mann Hann and Lutong Macau belong to. Flavors will be at the lowest rank. Very poor chinese taste.
great photo……
The FoC fried rice is good. Price is low compared to other chinese resto like Mongkok in SM MoA, and yet the food tastes much better. But for authentic chinese food, I’d go for Fortune Hongkong Chinese Restaurant in the nearby Balibago commercial area or in Luk Foo at Dau, just right besides Puregold.
honestly? i agree with foodloverako regarding FoC, i would rank it lower than 5, being chinese, i know what good chinese cooking is all about, i agree with him regarding LUKFOO but they serve food that is full of MSG! trust me, i know since i am a regular of puregold, i frequently see their staff buying pushcarts full of MSG every 2 to 3 days! man these will burn your larynx faster than smoking a pack of cigarette a day! i will refer the new small chinese restaurants sprouting in binondo if you happen to pass by, Lau chan, zhen fu, etc. etc.. authentic chinese dishes served by real authentic chefs and owners, literally MADE IN CHINA!
I don’t think Lukfoo puts that much MSG in their food compared to other restaurants. Anyway, I am a frequent customer there and I can definitely say it’s one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. I know for a fact that they have Hong Kong chefs in every branch they have and that the owners are also Chinese. Masarap tlaga.
i think 5 branches na ang lukfoo now. paranaque, las pinas, commonwealth, dau, and e. rodriguez. lagi ako sa e. rodriguez. yummy
i love the food and employees of the foc ,and the bounding of all employees and custumer,i the cute dispather of the foc,i love it tagay n
food in foc i can say that it is cheaper and affordable but compare it on fortune hongkong malayo masyado kac persyo p lng don grabe n mahal s fortune foc have the best employee un lng masa2b ko kumain kyo try nyo!!!
wlang kwnta mga manager sa sm north..ntapunan n ko ng plate n may laman n fud d p nagsori skin…wlang kwenta
mdyo matagal ang pglabas ng pagkain pro ok lng masarap nman at mga waiterss nila they are all newbies they have no prosionalism intheir work in short nd marunong mga managers nila!!nd cla kyang contoll!!
im also a manager in abc hotel last kumain ako dyan ok nman pglabas ng pagkain pro nki2ta ko n ngla2ro mga waiters puro p cute kpag my girl n custumer which it is un ethical kung gnyan ang patakaran ng mga managers i can say they dont deserve thier positions!!!
i cant believe that there are some diners who patronize this restaurant. i tell you guys, im allergic to msg. i thought im going to die when i ate there, i didnt know that the foods there contains so much msg. kya pala sbi nila masarap food dun.
i agree to allan ferrer, it so happen that we dine in FOC Tomas Morato, crews are very un ethical, when i ask the name of the officer-in-charge on duty, the name is Cristine de la Cruz. My gush! She doen’t deserve her position, FOC management should be aware that they should not let any person like Cristine de la Cruz whose very unprofessional to handle such responsibility!
