PUB: The Urban Guide to Manila Living

The Ortigas Park

Share

Ortigas Park The Ortigas Park had been in construction for the past couple of months, and it’s now open to the public. This area was once an empty lot used by pedestrians as a passageway to cross from F. Ortigas (formerly Emerald) Avenue into the EDSA side of the central business district. Now the passageway is paved and landscaped–definitely providing a more pleasant experience.

Ortigas Park It’s good that the land owners did not decide to convert the lot into a parking lot instead (we get a lot of those in the area but perhaps still not enough). We need relief from the stresses of the daily grind, and I think a small yet cozy, comfortable park is just what the doctor ordered.

It’s a place of serenity amid a hectic urban jungle.

Thank you for sharing this. I had such a wonderful time myself traveling and performing in philippine and this bought back so many memories.
