Job Hunting in Angeles City
What if you don’t have too many compadres to serve as your backers for your job hunting endeavor? Do you feel like resorting to the old way of sending or worse, hand-carrying your 100′s of resumes to offices? Do you know where to go, who to contact or where to surf? Here are some tips:
1. Don’t ignore the bulletin boards.
If you used to frequent Nepo Mall just for the sheer pleasure of taking advantage of its AC units, now is high time to stop and read the bulletin posts. The one found just right before the escalator (alternative entrance) is more reader-friendly since it’s shielded from the scorching heat of the sun compared to the one found outside the main entrance.
By the way Cyber City Call Center is looking for 500 new agents, have you noticed that banner? Just be observant. Job opening posters and banners abound.
2. Value PESO
PESO or the Public Employment Service Office of your municipality is regularly updated with the recent job openings from various companies. PESO Mabalacat, Pampanga will be having a jobs fair this mid-May.
If you are eyeing on working abroad, there will be a jobs fair at Angeles City Library on May 24-26.24-25
3. Visit the right online job sources.
You’ve found this writeup. Better spend a few more minutes online productively. For Pampanga and Angeles City job openings, the job section of Pampangaonline’s classifieds might help. Jobstreet.com’s jobs at your home town Pampanga section is regularly updated with job posts, too.
4. Don’t get lost in Clark.
Clark Special Economic Zone, with its innumerable factories and call center firms, is one of the best stops for the unemployed. But if you’re a newbie with its where-to’s, you might end up just spending your last few pesos without your resume’s landing any office. You might want a copy of the contact numbers and addresses of the companies in Clark. You can email roancute@yahoo.com and ask Roan for a copy of his “Clark list.”
Getting to the Clark Special Economic Zone is easy. By car, take the North Luzon Expressway from Manila and exit at Dau, Mabalacat. Make a left turn towards Angeles City then a right to Clark. The trip should take about an hour and a half from Manila.
Now that’s just leading you to the job sources of course, winning an interview is another story. Good luck!

Anyone who would like to find and apply for work in or around Clark and Angeles City can find the job postings at the above mentioned areas or by contacting the people listed on the article. If you live here in Pampanga, then you can actually research the company first so that you at least know a little about the company that you are trying to apply with. Texas Instruments inside Clark Freeport Zone was hiring but I don’t know if the slots have been filled yet. You can inquire at CDC for their job listings and the other companies for their job listings also. Good luck!

i didn’t expect those call centers here in the philippines.. and i didn’t prioritize english when i study during school days .. tutuo ba na mas madaling mag apply sa call center manila o pampanga? sabi kase dito sa pampanga pahirapan.. overwhelm ang assesment.. haaay philippines.. why dont we change our language we study english during school days but we dont use it everyday.. anybody knows how to.. pero kung wala makausap na native or english community mahirap.. especially when it comes to reading comprehension hirap ang mga pinoy.. we know how to read,and we understand while we read, but after that parang wala ako ma memorize.. sana magkaroon ng mga english community d2 sa pampanga.. hindi mga ‘call center academy or similar establishment.. ala lang.. comment lang..
